The Affair Travel Group includes French Affair and Croatian Affair, and have been providing holiday properties in Europe since 1986. Netspin have worked with Affair Travel since 1999, designing and building their web sites. The sites include on-line availability checking and booking, and more recently Netspin have developed a bespoke CRM system which interfaces with their web sites.
Below are more details and some screen shots of their customers systems.
Affair Travel have 11 web sites offering holiday accommodation across a number of European countries, including France, Croatia, Corsica, Spain, Portugal and Romania. Customers can request brochures, check availability, reserve and book properties, as well as viewing and updating bookings already made - all on-line. The site content (text, images, property prices and availability) are all managed by Affair Travel using a simple to use Content Management System, and the sites are designed so that any new developments are easily added across all sites.
Information on customers and prospective customers is collected in a number of ways, from bookings and enquiries on the web sites or responses to newspaper adverts. Affair Travel have a bespoke Customer Retention Management system, developed by Netspin, to help them manage these customer contacts.
The purpose of the system is to provide an efficient professional service to Affair Travel's customers. Contacts received from the web sites are combined with records of emails and phone calls so that if a customer contacts the company, the search facility allows the customer details to be found quickly. All the relevant information is then readily to hand. Notes are made for each contact and where follow-up emails or phone calls are needed, these are entered on "to do" lists to ensure they are followed up as promised.
Information on screens is colour coded to allow the Affair Travel staff to identify which of their web sites an enquiry relates to and to quickly spot any actions which are overdue.
Affair Travel management are able to see an overview of tasks to do, and have a reporting system to monitor where customers are hearing about the company. The system also includes a mailing facility, with a CMS allowing Affair Travel to build an email, including images and links to web site property pages, and send this to selected customers.
